What's Ahead On Saturday Across The National League

By Sam Elliott

There’s an intriguing meeting of the form men on Saturday as Matchday 11 of the National League season fast approaches.

Bromley are looking for their sixth straight victory, a run which has taken Andy Woodman’s team into fourth just weeks after cowering in the relegation zone.

It’s their biggest test yet on Saturday as they head to second-place Solihull Moors, who are the only side yet to taste defeat this term. Andy Whing says his team will have to put on a season-best display to topple the relentless Ravens, pictured.

The two teams at the right end go into battle, and so do two down the bottom.

Southend United may be in a false position in terms of points won, but it’s 23rd against 24th at Roots Hall as struggling AFC Fylde look to arrest a slump and end their four-game losing run.

Barnet are looking to make it six wins from six at the Hive but Dean Brennan has called for focus ahead of Ebbsfleet United’s arrival.

Chesterfield are the leaders and they are only a late Oldham leveller away from being untouchable at home themselves and want to take advantage of Wealdstone’s poor away form with three defeats in a row on their travels.

Darren Sarll has called for Woking to stop being so wasteful and wants them to start taking their chances when York City visit. You can read a preview here.

Dorking Wanderers are rising and sit just four points outside the play-offs but Rochdale are just one spot outside the top seven and they meet in Surrey both looking to keep their push going.

Gateshead will make it six matches unbeaten if they send Maidenhead United packing on Saturday.

Hartlepool United are hanging on to seventh place but know the chasers are closing so three points at Dagenham & Redbridge is important.

Russ Penn knows Kidderminster Harriers must get their second win on the board quickly and will want it at Eastleigh, who threw away two points at home to Oxford City in midweek.

Oxford City are looking to make it eight unbeaten but Oldham Athletic have found some confidence after sending York City packing on Tuesday night.

Boreham Wood and Aldershot are both locked on 11 points with three points potentially good enough to move either side into the top half.
