Originally joining on a short-term deal until January, Southport-born Hine’s impressive recent performances easily convinced the management team to extend his deal.
Hine was part of Southport’s PASE scheme while at KGV College and later returned for a brief spell in 2012.
Since then, he has enjoyed impressive spells at both Chorley and Salford United as well as serving in the RAF.
Former head of development Mark Wright was interested in signing Hine in the summer, but the striker eventually signed for ex-Yellows boss Paul Carden at Warrington Town instead.
