We’re All Set For Tuesday’s In The National League!

By Sam Elliott

We don’t have to wait long for our next hit of National League action!

After drawing breath from the weekend’s matches there is a full programme of action ahead of us in midweek.

Wrexham missed out on top spot after letting in a cruel late leveller at Chesterfield on Saturday.

With the two sides ahead of them both facing tricky away trips, they’ll be hoping this can be the night when they re-claim the leadership - but they have to beat Hartlepool United at home first.

Salford City will be glad to be back on the road after recent slip ups at home. They’re at a Barnet side buoyed by a superb weekend win up at Barrow.

Eastleigh got back to winning ways on Saturday and that will make things more difficult for Leyton Orient, the current leaders of the pack.

Dover slipped to the bottom on Saturday and there’s a critical night ahead for new manager Andy Hessenthaler and for Dagenham & Redbridge on the Kent coast.

The team at the top of the form guide host the side at the bottom of it. Can FC Halifax secure a first win since August at Tim Flowers’ Solihull Moors?

Another side without a National League victory since the first month are Chesterfield but their encouraging five-game unbeaten run means Sutton United will have to be on their guard in south west London.

Aldershot didn’t inspire at Gateshead and need to get back on track at home to Boreham Wood.

The Heed are flying right now but Gateshead’s massive improvement will be tested at AFC Fylde - who hit six goals at the weekend.

They thrashed Maidenhead United of course and there is a clash of two out-of-form sides at Havant & Waterlooville.

Bromley face Braintree as Hakan Hayrettin tries to get his hands on the Iron job full-time following an impressive first two National League games.

There’s a big Kent derby on offer at Stonebridge Road as Ebbsfleet United welcome Maidstone.

Elsewhere, Harrogate and Barrow go head-to-head in Yorkshire after both had Saturdays to forget.

AFC Fylde v Gateshead
