Some Big Points Are Up For Grabs Again On Tuesday Night

By Sam Elliott

It’s the time of the year when every Tuesday night is stacked full of important matches - and this one is no different.

With the weeks ticking down, we’re not short of action this evening with more key games coming thick and fast.

After Saturday’s meeting fell foul of the rain, Woking try again against Kidderminster Harriers with both sides in the bottom four and scrapping for their lives - and they both know any slip up could prove critical as they look to begin the month strongly.

York City can’t contemplate another home no show. After Adam Hinshelwood started with defeat against Wealdstone, they returned to the bottom four but with AFC Fylde not safe, this is a game of great importance.

Dorking Wanderers have been challenged to back up their brilliant win over Chesterfield by adding to Altrincham’s issues - the Robins have lost five in a row.

There are some big games in the play-off race too as fourth place Solihull Moors head to fifth place Gateshead - and that means Oldham will leap-frog of one of them if they defeat second place Bromley at Boundary Park.

After relegation worries a few weeks ago, Southend United will close the gap on the top seven if they defeat Wealdstone. Rochdale know their hopes will be all-but over if they don’t leave Barnet with three points.

The National League North leaders aren’t in action and second place Scunthorpe United know it’s pretty much win or bust.

They can close the gap to nine points if they win at Darlington and if they don’t, four more victories could be enough for Tamworth to take the title.

There’s a six pointer down the bottom as Banbury United - who sit just inside the drop zone - host Rushall Olympic, who are one spot above.

Bishop’s Stortford’s relegation is nearing but they can prolong the inevitable if they defeat Chorley. Warrington Town will move into the play-off place if they beat Southport.

Elsewhere, Alfreton need precious play-off points at Spennymoor while Hereford take on Peterborough Sports.

Eastbourne Borough know it’s time to act if they want to avoid National League South relegation.

Adam Murray takes his team to Hampton & RB, who have a play-off place to fight for. Welling United can make strides away from trouble if they better Farnborough.

Elsewhere, Bath City face Maidstone United while Chippenham Town take on Weston-super-Mare at Hardenhuish Park.
