Cook Can Sense Survival As Tigers Find Their Teeth

Mike Cook feels Gloucester City have every chance of winning their National League South relegation battle.

The Tigers have been transformed since making a change of manager, taking eight points from their last four matches.

They went nearly four months without picking up a victory until the new boss arrived - but now they have hope again.

On Tuesday night they won again, a come-from-behind victory at Slough Town.

In an interview with Gloucestershire Live, Cook says they are showing what’s needed to win their survival fight.

He said: “It’s really pleasing when you see a plan come together.

“There’s been a lot of hard work over the past two weeks.

“This result really gives us confidence but we’re not out of the bottom three just yet.

“I’ve not even been looking at the league table to be honest,” he adds.

“If we do finish above the relegation zone, that will be an unbelievable achievement because every team we’ve played so far, I’ve not been disappointed with the standard of players and teams we’re up against.”
