Bignot Is Bullish Despite Draw No14 For The Lions

Marcus Bignot knows Guiseley must start turning one point into three.

But he doesn’t see their tag as the National League North’s draw specialists as a negative.

Lions’ joint boss Bignot watched his team fight back to take a point at AFC Telford.

Guiseley are just one place above the relegation zone but he isn’t overly concerned after an excellent second half.

“It’s another draw for us, that’s 14 now in total. It shows how crazy the league is,” he told the National League’s Oli Osborn.

“AFC Telford have won one more game than we have - they’re sitting looking for promotion and we’re at the wrong end.

“It’s all about fine lines, and this match showed that again.

“The game was a lot like when we played Stockport County at the weekend. It was a mirror image.

“We didn’t start too strongly but second half we found our form and created plenty of chances.

“When the players learn their strengths and weaknesses, as a group and individually, we will show more of what we have been in the second half of games.

“Are we where we want to be? No. Do we want to be winning more games? Of course we do.

“But we are still at the start of this project. Once we start evolving then we will see the results come on a regular basis.”
