Cox Says Guiseley Need To Start Winning Soon

By Tom Feaheny

Guiseley made it four draws in a row with Paul Cox in charge but he took positives from the result.

Guiseley drew 1-1 against Dover Athletic, with a John Rooney free-kick being cancelled out by a Nortei Nortey effort before half-time, writes Tom Feaheny.

When reflecting on the point Cox said.

"We are moving in the right direction, defensively we look much improved, the lads are learning from each match, we would have liked to have won but it is probably a fair point."

"That is the aim now to win the next match, again though, we looked a threat going forward and solid at the back so I'm happy."

Cox revealed Raul Correia who had to be stretchered off could be set for a spell on the sidelines.

"He has gone for a scan immediately, he was in some discomfort, I hope it isn't too bad but we know it could see him out for a bit."

Cox later revealed they are looking to conduct some transfer activity as well.

"Now is the time to look to add to the squad just a player or two, to add to the quality if we do that I'd be very happy."
