Action On All Fronts With A Tasty Trio On Tuesday's Menu!

By Sam Elliott

With vital FA Cup, National League and FA Trophy action this evening, it’s fair to say that there’s something for everyone.

Three of our sides know a victory in their replays could well boost the coffers to something approaching six figures.

There are second round replays for Barnet and for Alfreton Town and they know the reward on offer to them if they can see off EFL opposition in the hours ahead.

The Bees challenge Newport County after defender Danny Collinge’s goal at Rodney Parade kept the club in the competition. Billy Heath’s Reds hope to make it third time lucky against Walsall after the big freeze and poor fortune in front of goal kept the Saddlers at bay, pictured.

Scarborough Athletic are still standing after the FA ordered Forest Green Rovers to replay their tie and now they’re up at home with a spot in the second round up for grabs.

It’s a big night at both ends in the National League North.

Scunthorpe United knew what a win at Blyth Spartans could do to their title chances but the Iron won't build a five-point gap - the game has been postponed this afternoon.

Curzon Ashton will keep their top seven place if they win at Farsley Celtic. Chorley will move into the play-offs with a win tonight but Buxton have their own agenda, too close to the bottom four for comfort.

It’s a big night at the wrong end. The teams down the bottom will have a close eye on Gloucester’s home game with Peterborough Sports with the strugglers both needing the points.

There will also be plenty of eyes on King’s Lynn Town’s home game with Banbury United - the Linnets leapfrog the visitors and out of the drop zone with victory at The Walks.

There’s FA Trophy games also on the fixture card. Altrincham and FC Halifax Town try again after Saturday’s weather woes. Rochdale and Gateshead were both left cursing the rain and will hope to get their tie played and won at Spotland.

Wealdstone welcome Billericay Town to Grosvenor Vale and Woking make the trip to an in-form Weston-super-Mare as the Cards look to add 2024 to 1994, 1995 and 1997 - the other years they lifted the famous trophy.
