What Happened On Tuesday Across The National League

By Sam Elliott

There may not have been too many teams hitting the goals trail tonight in the National League.

But Wrexham struck six to make sure leaders Stockport County didn’t sleep easy.

There were three goalless draws - including FC Halifax Town’s game with Solihull Moors.

Play-off hopefuls Dagenham and Boreham Wood also couldn’t be separated.

Neither could Wealdstone and Maidenhead United, who both keep themselves away from trouble.

But Wrexham stole the show, hitting Barnet for six at the Racecourse.

Ollie Palmer, Paul Mullin and Jordan Davies made things safe before half-time in north Wales.

They added to that after the break - Ben Tozer, Reece Hall-Johnson and Liam McAlinden all on target.

King’s Lynn Town are alive and kicking - thanks to the manger’s son.

Theo Widdrington got the winner as Lynn beat Bromley 1-0 to seriously dent Andy Woodman and his team’s promotion dreams.

Brackley Town also couldn’t find a way though in the National League North.

But a point at Curzon Ashton was good enough to move them to the top of the table.

York City were stunned at Kettering - Callum Stread and Connor Kennedy scored early as the Poppies won 2-0.

Matt Rhead netted Alfreton’s winner as they left Kidderminster Harriers with a 1-0 victory.

Impressive Jonathan Ustabasi scored twice as Chorley beat Boston United 2-1.

Elsewhere Bradford PA won 2-0 at Spennymoor while Frank Mulhearn won Farsley Celtic bragging rights over Guiseley.

In the National League South, Hampton and Tonbridge played out a 0-0 draw in south west London.
