With leaders Sutton United putting their feet up, all eyes were on the other promotion contenders.

In fact we now have new table toppers - Hartlepool United hit the summit as they won the day’s big game against Notts County 2-0.

Gavin Holohan on the stroke of half-time put Pools ahead in the live BT Sport game.

It was all over four minutes from the end when a Richie Bennett goal confirmed the win, his second goal since joining on loan.

Torquay United are showing the spirit that’s required to remain in this season’s title race.

A third win in a row, and a fifth victory in six, was hard earned against Weymouth.

The Gulls came from behind the win 2-1, Connor Lemonheigh-Evans’ winner ten minutes from time really keeps them in contention.

When Stockport County are good they are really good - they added to Wrexham’s recent woes with a fantastic 3-0 win at the Racecourse.

Alex Reid’s double and a John Rooney penalty kick did the job for Simon Rusk’s side, pictured.

Chesterfield look fantastic most weeks at the moment.

They turned defeat at King’s Lynn into a win inside 60 seconds - Nathan Tyson and Tom Whelan made it five wins in a row, 2-1 it ended at the Walks.

Jack Earing grabbed what could be a huge winner as FC Halifax Town defeated Altrincham 1-0.

Boreham Wood have drawn they last seven but they finally got the win Luke Garrard craved.

Kaba Tshimanga grabbed a brace to help Wood beat Wealdstone 3-1 after a lively second half.

The division’s top marksman Michael Cheek scored once again as Bromley defeated Dagenham & Redbridge 1-0 - it was Andy Woodman’s first win since replacing Neil Smith.

Eastleigh couldn’t make the most of Woking going down to ten men.

It also ended 0-0 as Barnet picked up a point at Maidenhead, with Simon Bassey and Dave Anderson overseeing things at the Hive.
