Unibet's National League North And South Preview

By Sam Elliott

There’s a little bit of history coming this weekend - and maybe the first ribbon to slip over a championship trophy with it.

The first ever Vanarama National League South game to be televised live on BT Sport on Saturday could see one hand firmly placed on some silverware.

Now we have a clear Vanarama National League North title favourite too and Unibet take a close look at Saturday’s action.

AFC Fylde vs Gloucester City - National League North

Adam Murray won’t admit as much, but deep down the manager probably knows it.

AFC Fylde are now firm National League North title favourites after they left second place King’s Lynn with three points on Tuesday - and with the Linnets with it all to do.

The Coasters aren’t coasting, but a healthy five point lead only tells half the story with the club holding two games in hand over the other challengers.

Beat Gloucester City at home with their rivals all on the road and they’ll start looking for the finishing line but Steve King’s Tigers have their own promotion agenda and sit second in the six-game form guide with four wins.

Slough Town vs Ebbsfleet United - National League South

The countdown is on and now Ebbsfleet United get to take a giant leap in front of the nation.

BT Sport are heading for Slough and they will get a good view of what many already consider the champions elect.

That’s what an 18-point advantage does for you and it surely won’t be long now until their National League return is confirmed.

They are just seven goals away from 100 - and they want to tick that one off as soon as possible.

With Dom Poleon about, don’t totally rule them doing it in front of the cameras!

He got four against Dulwich Hamlet to take his tally to 31 and only two teams have let in more than the Rebels!

But Slough have really improved since Scott Davies took over.

They may have lost their last two games, but three wins in seven has seen distance created between themselves and the bottom four but they’re not safe yet.
