Unibet's National League North And South Preview

By Sam Elliott

The weeks are ticking down and the business end of the season is now officially upon us.

With a month-and-a-half to run, every game is now key - unless of course your team is sitting comfortably in midtable enjoying the back seat view in front and behind them!

Unibet take us through some of the top games on Saturday as things start to get tense!

Bath City vs St Albans City - National League South

There’s always that one team that comes from nowhere to upset the apple card.

It seems like Bath City could be that side this year, always a dangerous thing when form and confidence is all-important in the play-offs.

The Romans - with six wins from eight - are two points outside the top seven but with time on their side and teams above them losing their cool, they’ve got every chance.

If St Albans are to have any hope themselves, they need to act now to close the five point gap. They’ve lost four from five but do still possess Shaun Jeffers, remember.

Alfreton Town vs AFC Fylde - National League North

As it turned out, Tuesday couldn't have gone much better for AFC Fylde.

OK, getting their game at Curzon Ashton on would have been ideal but while they stayed at home in the warm, three of the chasers ran cold.

As King’s Lynn and Brackey were taking points off each other, Chester slipped to a shock home defeat to Peterborough Sports.

The Coasters have a two point lead with two games in hand but this will be a huge test.

Alfreton are good at home - really good, in fact.

Winning six of their last eight in front of their own fans, they are still very much in touch with the top seven.

Fylde have drawn three of their last four games but last time got the better of Darlington.

The Reds were defeated 2-0 in the north west in November but know they can beat anyone on their own turf.

What a weekend we’ve got in store!
