Unibet's National League North And South Preview

By Sam Elliott

Things are closing up at the top of the National League North and South - and we’ve got some tasty title races in store in 2022.

AFC Fylde and Brackley Town are separated by two points, while Dartford’s lead is down to just one as Oxford City and others keep applying the pressure.

We’re about to find out what’s ahead this weekend as the chase for first place and the play-offs gets even hotter in the December cold.

Every week, new betting partner Unibet will run the rule over the weekend’s main matches in the division.

Boston United vs Kidderminster Harriers - National League North

The two former Football League clubs are both looking to take a step closer to where they once were.

In-form Kidderminster put all FA Cup thoughts to one side looking to make it five National League North wins on the bounce. Boston are back in business after a difficult few results.

Two solid league wins against Darlington and Kettering Town have them back in amongst the promotion talk. They beat Brackley in the FA Trophy in-between and manager Craig Elliott says he is desperate to keep the wins coming.

These two meet in that competition the week after, and the first instalment is too tight to call - but this is no dress rehearsal.

Maidstone United vs Dartford - National League South

It looked a few months into the season that this could be a pre-Christmas title six pointer.

Both neck and neck into September, Dartford have stayed the pace - but Maidstone United haven’t kept the same consistency.

But in the past few matches, evidence is gathering that the Stones could still be involved in the championship race.

After grabbing a good point at Havant & Waterlooville on November 13, they went and won against Chippenham and then at Kent rivals Ebbsfleet United.

The leaders seem to be over their little iffy spell too.

Wins against Hemel Hempstead and Billericay Town may not have been overly convincing but manager Steve King isn’t wrong - sometimes it’s about points, not performances.

It should be another goal-filled weekend!
