The Live FA Cup TV Match Has Today Been Announced

By Sam Elliott

The BBC may sense an upset but Chorley hope to avoid being the story of FA Cup weekend next Saturday.

Their 3rd Qualifying Round tie at Peterborough Sports has been selected for live coverage.

The BBC Sport cameras will head to Lincoln Road on October 6 - and they think a classic Cup tie is in the air.

Sports already have form, the Southern League Division One Central club disposing of Boston United at York Street in the last round.

The game will be broadcast live on the BBC website and via the red button.

Kick-off has been moved forward to 12.30pm with the winning club picking up a prize money cheque for £15,000.

Sports will have to play even better than they did in Lincolnshire if they are to make it through this time.

Chorley have been in sensational form, winning four out of their last five games to race clear at the top of the National League table.
