Notts County sent out a very clear message: we’re not planning on giving up our top spot for anyone!

The Magpies hit Wealdstone for six in sizzling display in north west London - making it half a dozen wins in a row.

They had six different scorers and of course Macaulay Langstaff was one of them.

It looked to be a great night - until Wrexham bit back against FC Halifax Town.

Behind until Ben Tozer scored to make it 1-1, they turned it around as Aaron Hayden make it safe against the Shaymen.

Chesterfield dropped two points despite Jeff King giving them the lead at York City. Mitch Hancox save the day for the hosts.

At the other end it was a great night for Scunthorpe United.

Jon Nuttall’s double did for Gateshead, while Terry Brown is loving life back at Aldershot Town - the temporary manager oversaw a late but great 2-0 win at troubled Yeovil.

Woking and Dorking Wanderers played out a thrilling 3-3 draw, Rhys Browne scoring a precious leveller after signing from Wealdstone last week.

Southend are in great form, Callum Powell hit the net again as they eased to a 3-0 win at Maidstone United.

Josh Kelly came back to haunt his old club as Solihull Moors won at Maidenhead United.

Harry Pritchard’s late show stunned Bromley as his two goals produced a brilliant Barnet comeback, they left 3-1 winners.

Danny Whitehall’s winner for Eastleigh keeps Torquay United propping up the rest.

Chris Conn-Clarke’s moment of magic brought joy for Altrincham against Oldham Athletic as Boreham Wood and Dagenham drew 1-1.

Hereford warmed up for Portsmouth by beating AFC Fylde 2-1, while Southport move into sixth - a Jack Bainbridge goal after 19 minutes getting the better of Spennymoor Town.

Caleb Richards got Kidderminster back on track with a 1-0 win over Chorley as Alfreton Town beat Scarborough 2-0. The cake was iced through George Cantrill on the hour mark.

Elsewhere there were great wins for Bradford PA at Blyth Spartans and Farsley Celtic at home to Kettering Town.

Alan Dowson’s Dartford are up to second and looking dangerous in the National League South.

A winning goal from Pierre Fonkeu turned the game at Slough Town on its head.

But Ebbsfleet United showed again why they will take some stopping, the unbeaten leaders sweeping aside St Albans City 3-1.

Dom Poleon grabbed two more goals and the gap is four points.

Oxford City just love leaving it late - a 2-1 success against Taunton Town was sealed by Joe Iaciofano in the 92nd minute.

Alfie Wittingham’s winner was enough to Hampton & RB to defeat Eastbourne Borough.

Ken Charles got the all important goal as Cheshunt left Hungerford Town with all three points.

Braintree Town hammered Welling United 4-1, Matt Rush put a seal on a great few days after the Iron were picked for live BT coverage in the weeks ahead.

So are Dulwich Hamlet of course but they went down 1-0 against Worthing, the winning goal coming from Ibrahim Akanbi.

Elsewhere it was a great night for Concord Rangers who beat Dover Athletic 3-0 and for in-form Tonbridge Angels - they stunned Chelmsford City 1-0.

Jack Ball’s goal for Farnborough was enough for a win at Weymouth and Hemel Hempstead left Chippenham with a 1-0 victory, Kory Roberts’ late goal sparked wild celebrations.
