Now U`s Forward Becomes A Loan Wing

Welling United have signed forward Eli Phipps on a month`s loan from SkyBet League Two side Colchester United.

The 20-year-old joined the U's in the January transfer window and has been a regular in the under-23 squad since his arrival from Championship outfit Cardiff City.

Having started the new season brightly, Phipps will now join the Wings initially until October 7th.

The Wings have also extended the loan of goalkeeper Dillon Barnes, also on loan from Colchester, until November 8th.

Both players will be in the squad for tomorrow’s home game at Park View Road against Poole Town.
