FA Cup Draw Is Made As National League Sides Join In

By Sam Elliott

The draw for the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup has thrown up some fantastic ties.

The National League clubs join the fun - in the hat with the National League North and South sides who have won through.

There are 32 ties in total with the winner banking a cheque for £9,375 with the losing teams taking home £3,125.

The FA Cup games are scheduled to be played on Saturday, October 15.

Anstey Nomads have been handed the biggest game in their history - they will welcome Chesterfield later this month.

Blyth Spartans have FA Cup history and they get a visit from Wrexham, who have memories themselves of course.

Chester - if they get past Hanley Town - make the trip to Oldham Athletic, who are in the competition at this point for the first time.

Scunthorpe United aren’t used to this stage either and go to South Shields in a game the hosts will relish.

York City will travel to Clitheroe or Bury AFC.

We have plenty of all National League games coming in mid October.

Last year’s heroes Boreham Wood welcome Wealdstone, Dorking Wanderers take on Eastleigh while Southend United travel to Woking.

Aldershot Town won’t be looking forward to their trip to Chelmsford City and Dagenham will be wary - they go to Beckenham Town.
