Limbrick Hoping For More Cards In Hand

By David Richardson

Woking boss Anthony Limbrick is hoping some of his players will overcome injury problems ahead of their big FA Cup first round tie at home to League One's Bury on Sunday.

The Cards have lost their last three Vanarama National League matches with injury problems hitting them hard since their fourth qualifying round replay against Concord Rangers.

Bury have their own problems after sacking Lee Clark on Monday as they sit just a point off the bottom in League One.

Limbrick is taking the positives into Sunday and has given an injury update, he said: "Our home form has been good, we’ve only lost twice there. We’ve lost three in a row but we feel like we’ve still done enough in those games that could have got us the win.

"We’ve got areas to work on, even though it is a cup game we want to improve on those.

"It’s nice been to get back on the training ground and have the full week of preparation. With the game on Sunday you get an extra day’s recovery and we’ve put in an extra training session for Saturday.

"We’ve had a week to recover and prepare. We had Chez Isaac who came off on the weekend, who could be in contention for this week. Fabio [Saraiva] and Bobson [Bawling] and Jason Banton could be in contention as well.

"We’re starting to get a few back. Unfortunately, Charlie Carter won’t be available for the game, we’re not sure about Josh Staunton at this stage as well."
