Waddock Wants Wins As Shots Stutter Again

By David Richardson

Aldershot Town rescued a point at Maidenhead United in a thrilling 3-3 draw but manager Gary Waddock is fed up of not winning games.

The Shots are now without a win in four after earning back-to-back draws thanks to James Rowe's late equaliser.

James Kellerman put the visitors ahead after 16 minutes but the Magpies quickly responded through Adrian Clifton, although went behind again on the stroke of half-time as Adam McDonnell headed in.

Dean Inman levelled things up once more in the second half before Harry Pritchard netted four minutes from time for the hosts with what looked to be the winner, until Rowe struck.

"Everyone will look at the scoreline and see a great game," said Waddock. "But I wanted to come here and win.

"I'm fed up at the moment of drawing or losing games. We get ourselves into good positions during the course of the game and we ended up chasing it.

"You have to give great credit to Maidenhead for how they continued to be on the front foot and battled away. I wouldn't expect anything less from an Alan Devonshire side.

"It was good character from the players to keep going and the backing of our supporters was brilliant to help them get over the line and get a result. But I wanted to win the game."
