Every performance really is going to count from here on in if your side has something big to play for. There’s tension in the air and excitement in the stands.
Saturday’s matches had plenty of drama and with lines fine every point could well made all the difference with April on the horizon.
We have pieced together the Team of the Weekend after studying all the action closely.
Our process is simple. We call on our contacts across the grounds to put together the 16 players we feel deserve recognition for their performance.
If we’ve missed someone who played a blinder we want to know! Join the debate on twitter as the season reaches its exciting climax @TheNationalLge
Goalkeeper: Herbert Schotterl (Dartford)
This was a big win for Dartford at in-form Oxford City. They needed their goalkeeper to be at his very best, mind you.
Defender: Greg Tindle (Chippenham)
Are the Bluebirds now safe? Not quite says their manager but Greg Tindle’s performance at East Thurrock ensured the league’s top scorer Sam Higgins looked like a spectator.
Defender: Ben Gerring (Truro City)
Another inclusion in the Team of the Weekend. Nobody will fancy facing the White Tigers at home in the play-offs - but they showed they can win away too as Eastbourne were undone.
Defender: Tom Bonner (Dartford)
The Darts needed produce something big at Oxford and they did. Very little got past the experienced head and legs of Bonner.
Defender: Ben Wynter (Hampton)
Dropped points against the ill-disciplined Braintree maybe, but Wynter scored - just as the clocks went back!
Midfielder: Kenan Dunnwald (Weston-super-Mare)
The winning goal and Man of the Match as the Seagulls beat Bognor. They still can’t rule out the play-offs.
Midfielder: David Mayo (Hemel Hempstead)
Hemel beat Gloucester City to reclaim their top seven place back. Mayo was at the heart of all that was good about the Tudors - it wasn’t easy against a very much in-form side.
Midfielder: Wes Fogden (Havant & W)
They needed that! Havant’s 2-1 win at Bath was kick-started by Fogden who really made up for the loss of the pivotal Brian Stock again.
Midfielder: Kodi Lyons-Foster (Whitehawk)
It’s not likely to be enough to save them, but at least Whitehawk fans have hope for the future. Lyons-Foster scored and impressed as Concord Rangers were put to the sword.
Striker: Marcel Barrington (Braintree)
He thought his goal for the ten men - soon to be reduced to nine - at Hampton had won it but he deserved to be leaving with all three points.
Striker: Jamie Philpot (Welling)
It seems like the Wings now have an attack to hang their hat on. Philpot, scorer of two goals at Hungerford, and Adam Coombes are really lighting up Park View Road.
Substitutes:
David Ijiah (Whitehawk)
Dean Snedker (St Albans)
Sanchez Watt (Hemel Hemstead)
Jamie Coyle (Welling United)
Theo Lewis (Havant & W)
