Doswell's Fearless Sutton Are Causing More Shocks!

Sutton United were 'superb' against Tranmere Rovers as the club that love nothing more than upsetting the big sides were at it again on Saturday afternoon in the North West.

The Us 1-0 win over Rovers came courtesy of Craig Dundas just passed the half hour mark at Prenton Park.

It was not what Tranmere were expecting but maybe they should have known better.

Sutton thrive on facing the big clubs and now Paul Doswell, their manager, knows they can do what's needed away from home as well as on their own plastic pitch.

Sutton have taken six points so far which thrilled their manager.

"We know how to raise our game," he said following the unexpected win.

"It has been such a difficult first three fixtures. Leyton Orient, Eastleigh and now Tranmere - the title favourites - away from home.

"But we don't roll over for anyone and we were excellent," he added. "But we have coped well.

"It was always going to be a very tough and demanding match but we answered the questions.

"From 1 to 11 I thought we were excellent so it's been a good day and a good start for us."
