Busy Tuesday Night Of Action Includes A Title Shoot-Out

By Sam Elliott

It’s catch up day across the three divisions as games lost to the weather and cup commitments are played - and there’s one eye-popping title tussle coming your way!

Four National League games go ahead tonight as those chasing the title put their feet up, leaving some play-off hunters and the teams shooting for survival to steal focus.

Barnet will see Tuesday as a chance to cement their place in the top seven.

The Bees, who have taken ten points from their last four home games, need three more when Yeovil Town play them a visit.

The Glovers would probably prefer not to be returning to London.

They still have Saturday’s 4-1 hammering at Bromley ringing in their ears but the full-time signing of Jordan Magure-Drew last night has raised spirits on their latest trip to the capital.

Dagenham & Redbridge know they can’t pass up the chance to put more play-off points on the board.

They welcome Eastleigh but a good win for Lee Bradbury’s team puts them ahead of the Daggers, leapfrogging them into the promotion places.

Six defeats from seven games and one win in nine sees Solihull Moors’ season in danger of totally unraveling.

They need to repair the damage and fast, starting at home to an Aldershot side who have themselves lost four on the bounce in the league.

In the other game, Altrincham could move towards a few points off the top seven but need to get the better of Maidenhead United first.

The National League North does see title chasers in action - against each other!

New leaders King’s Lynn Town, pictured, go to Brackley who are in third but sit just one point behind them.

At the other end, bottom markers AFC Telford face Kettering Town who are themselves in the drop zone.

AFC Fylde are on the up and they could potentially go second if they see off Buxton.

Ebbsfleet United will move back to the top of the National League South if they beat Chelmsford City by two clear goals.

Hungerford Town will move off the bottom if they win at home to St Albans City as in-form Farnborough face Slough Town.

Boreham Wood and Chesterfield are looking to book their place in the FA Cup fourth round.

The Wood head to Accrington Stanley knowing a win would set up a home tie with either Cardiff City or Leeds.

Chesterfield go again after West Brom dished out late heartbreak in the original tie - a win at the Hawthorns and the Spireites head to Bristol City or Swansea.

In the FA Trophy Banbury United face their old Southern League foes Coalville Town while FC Halifax Town head to Harrow.

An all-National League tie is on the menu too - whoever comes out on top between Torquay and Taunton host Barnet.
