Sutton Suffer 'Major' Injury Blow

By David Richardson

Sutton United have been dealt a 'major' injury blow says manager Paul Doswell.

Early signs suggest midfielder Craig Eastmond could be set for a long spell on the sidelines.

The 26-year-old was stretched off in added time of Saturday's match at Hartlepool with an ankle injury.

Minutes later Sutton equalised in the 95th minute to take a point but Doswell was left gutted with Eastmond's injury, he said: "It looks like he's fractured his ankle. It's terrible news for us

"Craig's a major blow because he's such a driving force for us. That's a massive disappointment.

"It's one we'll have to take stock of but there's not a lot of time to take stock in this league - Aldershot Tuesday, Ebbsfleet Saturday and then obviously in the FA Cup so we'll just have to reflect on that and see where we go."
