Okenabirhie Makes The Move To The Football League

By Tom Feaheny

Fejiri Okenabirhie has left Dagenham & Redbridge for an undisclosed fee after joining League One side Shrewsbury Town.

The 22 year-old joined The Daggers in June 2016 from Harrow Borough.

In total the forward has scored 19 goals in 68 appearances for the Vanarama National League side.

He has joined new manager John Askey who said he liked what he saw during the previous campaign.

“I saw quite a bit of him last season,” Askey said to the club's website.

“For me he was the best forward in the National League and he has come on leaps and bounds this year so we are pleased we were able to get him.

“He’s hungry to do well, he has the ability to do it."
