Long-Serving Veysey Leaves Torquay

By Jessica Smithson

Torquay United have announced that one of the Gulls` favourite sons, Kenny Veysey, has decided to stand down from his position at the Vanarama National League club.

The 48-year-old has an association with United that goes back twenty-eight years and during that time he has given the club sterling service in a number of different roles.

Torquay tried hard to persuade him to stay, but he felt that the time was right to step down from his current position of goalkeeping coach and kit man, and he will depart following Saturday’s home game against Grimsby Town.

Veysey will always be made extremely welcome here at The Launa Windows Stadium and the Torquay United Directors, players, staff and supporters all wished him well in the future and thanked him for his outstanding service.
