Free Kids Admission For Chester's New 'Community Day'

Chester have announced they are to hold a 'Community Day' at the Swansway Stadium.

The day will coincide with the Blues' National League North fixture with Leamington on March 9.

Hundreds of youngsters from local schools and grassroots football teams will be given free tickets.

There will also be activities such as free face-painting along with free football sessions.

Chief Executive of the Chester FC Community Trust, Jim Green said it's important the club is part of the local community.

"We’re really excited for this year’s Community Day and we’re hoping a bumper crowd will come along to enjoy the occasion and support Bern, Jonno and the team," Green told the club's website.

"This is the first time we’ve had a designated fixture for Community Day and it’s a great opportunity to acknowledge our role as a community club and hopefully welcome some new fans to the Chester FC family.

"The Community Trust will be contacting schools and clubs over the next week to invite them to join us on the day and more details about what’s planned will be announced as we build up to the game."
