There's Plenty Of Games In Store On Tuesday Night

By Sam Elliott

There’s two games in each division to keep us all occupied this evening.

The six matches all have plenty riding on them as the New Year feast of football continues.

Wrexham fluffed their lines at home to Dover on Saturday but they can send a clear message out to the rest with a win later on.

But they go to a Bromley side who are in fine fettle. Neil Smith’s men have won their last four National League matches and believe they can still play a part in the play-off picture.

Wrexham will close the gap to leaders Leyton Orient to just a point if they win their game in hand so it’s all eye on Hayes Lane tonight.

The last side to get the better of Bromley were Gateshead at the start of December.

But lately though the Heed have been having a bit of a wobble - just a point from the last nine means Steve Watson need a reaction.

The problem is they take on a Solihull Moors side also chasing the top seven - and one who have scored ten goals in their previous four games.

begin life without manager Neil McFarlane with a National League North trip to Spennymoor.

Chairman Colin Gordon will pick the team alongside his senior players but they wouldn’t have picked such a demanding start.

Southport, meanwhile, can put even further distance between themselves and the bottom three with victory at home to inconsistent Guiseley.

One of the form sides in the National League South are Bath City.

Jerry Gill has taken his team up to fourth but they face a difficult task away to Slough Town.

Truro City’s first league game back at Treyew Road sees them welcome St Albans City and the White Tigers hope the fans will come out to see the first battle for three points in Cornwall since last season.
