Dartford's Burman Rues 'Crazy Quarter Of An Hour'

Dartford manager Tony Burman was happy enough with his players last night – even if they did put him through a mad quarter of an hour!

Fighting back from two goals down, the club secured a valuable National League South point at Braintree Town as a great match ended 2-2. Watch Highlights here

Burman was encouraged with the spirit his players showed him at Cressing Road but suggested with a little bit more focus, and luck late on, they could have come away from the ground with all three points.

His team now have two draws to their name after being held by Hungerford on the first day of the season.

Burman said: "I’m delighted we got something out of the game. Other than a crazy 15 minutes, I was more than happy with the performance.

“At half-time I told the players they had a mountain to climb because of a lack of concentration and giving the ball away.

"We were good enough in the first 30 minutes, created quite a few chances and should have scored. It wasn’t to be but second half they went for the game and it shows we can be a good side,” he told Kent Online.

“They were excellent getting back into the game and we could have won it at the end.”
