Challinor: Half-Time Telling Off Inspired Coasters

AFC Fylde boss Dave Challinor says a few home truths were told at the break as the Coasters came back to defeat Sutton United.

The victory for the side was secured with two goals scored in the final quarter of an hour.

They remain in seventh in the table, with Danny Rowe getting another goal that proved to be the winner.

“I wear my heart on my sleeve and I tell them the truth. Sometimes the truth hurts but they showed me that they can do it in the second half and they deserved the three points," Challinor told the club's website.

“After the break we were the team that looked like we wanted to win the game and it was thoroughly deserved in the end.

Challinor says the performance in the second 45 minutes can be used as a marker going forward.

“If we play the way we know we can – the way we played in the second half – then we are very difficult to play against.

“The games get bigger every week now, none more so than two long away trips to Torquay and Maidstone over the coming days.”
