Brackley Have The Quality To Mix It With The Best - Lowe

Brackley Town youngster Matt Lowe reckons anything less than a play-off finish this season would be “a failure”.

The midfielder, who came through the ranks at Cambridge United, has become a key part of the Saints’ squad this season.

Brackley moved up to second in the National League North on Saturday following their 1-1 draw at FC United of Manchester.

They have lost just three of their 21 league fixtures so far this season and Lowe says the Saints have enough quality to keep their form going.

He told the club’s website: “There are some good teams in the league and the newly promoted teams have done particularly well.

“But we are on a par with the top teams. We should have nothing to fear as we’ve shown.

“Success would be getting into the play-offs. That is certainly achievable and if we don’t do it then I think we will all consider it a failure and really disappointing.

“We are definitely stronger than last season. We have more strength in depth and the new additions have given us a lift.

“There is no doubt about the quality of players we have in our squad and I'm very grateful for the time the more experienced players invest in me alongside the coaching staff in order for me to improve.”
