Second face third on Saturday - with the leaders of watching on wondering if they could build up a healthy advantage.

Maidstone United and their Manager of the Month Craig Fagan have won five matches in a row just as those around them start finding the wins harder to come by.

That has given the Stones a three point lead as they prepare to hit the road at Braintree Town this weekend.

The Iron have already lost three of their four home matches but are boosted by a second win of the new campaign last time out.

Dagenham & Redbridge aren’t as comfortable as they were two weeks ago. Their only win in four was a narrow one against pointless Slough Town and face a very challenging away trip to Weston-super-Mare next.

Lee Allinson called for calm heads after a home defeat to Dover Athletic but the Seagulls have three home wins already.

Many predicted Dorking Wanderers and Torquay United to be in the discussion right at the top around now. But despite a recent upturn, their seasons are yet to sparkle.

That puts extra significance on their meeting in Devon as both teams try to applying some pressure.

Tonbridge Angels are the surprise package so far as Alan Dunne looks to take the club to new heights.

In fourth, they want to add Hemel Hempstead Town to their list of early-season victims as Truro City - themselves in fine form - welcome Walton & Hersham, who are still trying to get their first point on the board.

Chelmsford City are unbeaten. Problem is they have only won one of their seven matches. Hampton & RB have taken six points from nine of their new pitch but Alan Dowson needs to keep the points coming at the Beveree with away form questionable.

Ebbsfleet United’s first week of football brought four points. They welcome a Salisbury side who have just scored five for the second time this term.

Managerless Slough Town look to get off the mark at AFC Totton while Chesham United try to put a tricky fortnight to one side with a win against Horsham.

Folkestone Invicta and Farnham Town haven’t had any problems adjusting to life after promotion - whoever wins this one turns a good start into a great one.

Fresh from leaving Dagenham with a surprise victory, Jake Leberl has challenged his Dover Athletic players to follow that up by beating Farnborough.

Billericay Town are looking good away from home and Maidenhead United are yet to win in front of their fans - will this one go to form or will the Magpies satisfy their supporters?
