The nominations for the Enterprise National League South monthly awards for October have now been confirmed.

The nominations for Manager of the Month are...

John Askey (Truro City)
The Tinners rose to the top of the Enterprise National League South after an unbeaten league month that took them from sixth to the summit. The stand-out was a remarkable 4-3 win at Hampton & Richmond Borough after trailing 3-1, with substitute Ben Starkie making the difference, before then-leaders Ebbsfleet United were swept aside 3-0. Cup wins over Cirencester Town and Birmingham City U21 completed a superb few weeks.

Brian Dutton (Salisbury)
A second nomination in as many months for Dutton, whose Whites went unbeaten in all competitions in October. They won all three of their league games on the road, coming from behind at both Farnham Town and Tonbridge Angels, while FA Cup wins over Dulwich Hamlet and Eastbourne Borough sent the club into the first round for the first time since their reformation.

Josh Wright (Ebbsfleet United)
Also nominated for the second month running, Wright saw his side pick up more points than anyone else in the division in October: 19 from eight games. The Fleet scored 23 goals along the way and were never behind in six of those matches, with a 3-1 win at second-placed Maidstone United the pick of the bunch as they climbed from 21st to third.

Mark Cooper (Chelmsford City)
The Clarets never trailed in any of their four league games in October, taking ten points and keeping their unbeaten league record intact. They also won 2-0 at Enterprise National League North side Brackley Town in the FA Cup.

The nominations for Player of the Month are...

Tyler Harvey (Truro City)
The goals behind the Tinners’ rise to the top, Harvey struck six times in the league in October, finding the net in four of their five games, and added another in the FA Cup. He saved his best for the big moments, scoring in the fightback at Hampton before netting the late winner, then striking again in the win over Ebbsfleet.

Jamie Yila (Horsham)
The Hornets went unbeaten through the back end of the month to climb from 16th to tenth, and Yila was the difference more than once. He hit the only goal of the game against Walton & Hersham, then came off the bench to put Horsham ahead at Ebbsfleet.

Lennon Peake (Ebbsfleet United)
At the heart of the Fleet’s free-scoring month, Peake scored a sixth-minute winner against Folkestone Invicta and an equaliser against Horsham. He was just as dangerous as a creator, with four assists, three of them in one game against Weston-super-Mare.

Nathan Harness (Tonbridge Angels)
Ever-present between the sticks as the Angels climbed from tenth to sixth, Harness kept three clean sheets in five league games. He was outstanding in the 1-0 win at Maidenhead United, and saved a penalty to protect another 1-0 win, this time over Hemel Hempstead Town.
