There's Some Tasty FA Trophy Ties In Store This Weekend

It’s FA Trophy time again - and now the National League are joining the party.

Following the FA Cup thrills and spill last weekend, there’s the chance for a few more shocks and surprises. There’s tasty local ties too with the draw split into north and south at this stage.

So forget the Christmas shopping, the third round of the competition certainly beats the shopping centres!

It all gets underway on Friday night as Scunthorpe United go hunting an upset with Solihull Moors heading for Lincolnshire.

Holders FC Halifax Town know what getting to Wembley means, pictured. But it’s a tricky start to their defence against Altrincham in the first of three matches against the sides in the next few weeks.

National League leaders Chesterfield are on the treble charge of course - they're at home to Southport.

Two sides still going strong in the FA Cup collide as Barnet welcome Maidstone United.

There's a classic tie in store as underdogs City of Liverpool host Hartlepool United while York City must be in theri guard as they go to Nantwich Town.

Curzon Ashton hosts Macclesfield is also a game to keep an eye on while Southend have a tough task when they welcome in-form National League South side Hampton. Bath City go to battle against Boreham Wood

As we always see, there's plenty of same divisions match-ups. Rochdale meet Gateshead, Dorking take on Maidenhead while there's a Hampshire derby as Eastleigh play host to Aldershot Town.
