3UP
14 November 25
This three-minute pause until 3.03pm is quite symbolic - so WHY are we still waiting?
On Saturday, our Day of Action makes an eye-catching statement of intent as our clubs stand shoulder-to-shoulder as we look to make 3UP a reality.
It’s time to up the pressure in our pursuit of a third promotion place to the EFL. Here’s everything you need to know ahead of a vital weekend - both on and off the pitch.
Why 3.03pm kick-offs?
In our member clubs’ view, three is the magic number.
On Saturday, we make our point with the tweaked kick-off times offering a subtle nod to the need for change.
Nobody likes waiting around, and we’re no different.
But the delay to the weekend action is illustrative. The unique kick-off times will provide a significant and impactful moment - and crucially open up the conversation.

What the fans want
Over 93 per cent of football supporters from across all divisions of the professional football Pyramid support 3UP, including a significant 83 per cent of EFL fans.
These figures come from a substantive poll conducted by the Football Supporters Association which has led to the well-respected body adopting 3UP as their official policy.
Our beliefs align - the as-yet unchanged stance and the EFL’s refusal to formally discuss the matter is damaging the game we love.
High-profile backing
Since its launch, the 3UP campaign has now received widespread support from football organisations, sporting opinion formers, prominent broadcasters, dozens of MPs and the Prime Minister.
They recognise the campaign’s ‘Put Football First’ mission will help the new Independent Football Regulator achieve its publicly stated goals of protecting the financial resilience of clubs and preserving the heritage of the game for fans.
On the eve of the Day Of Action, former England manager Roy Hodgson threw his weight behind the call.
What can you do to help?
There’s plenty supporters can do to get the message heard.
Make sure you sign the petition. It is a show of strength, takes under a minute and proves that you're right behind 3UP and what it stands for.
If you’re on social media, engage with our posts, or if not then email 3up@thenationalleague.org.uk to back the campaign.
