Wrexham Keeper Goes North of the Border

Vanarama National League club Wrexham`s goalkeeper Cameron Belford...

....is set to start a loan period with Scottish League One club Stranraer, after signing with the Stair Park side for the rest of the season.

Having joined the Reds last summer from Swindon Town, Belford started twenty consecutive games, but following an FA Cup exit at the hands Gainsborough Trinity in late October, he has only played one match since.

With Rhys Taylor extending his stay at the Racecourse for the rest of the season, he is looking forward to playing on a regular basis with the south of Scotland club.

As they play mainly only on a Saturday, he will travel north on a Thursday to train with the rest of the squad in Glasgow and then stay locally for their game on the weekend, before returning home after the match.

International clearance has been granted as Stranraer head to Cowdenbeath tomorrow, with the keeper looking to make his debut at Central Park.
