Wood Add Firepower With Capture Of Oxford Talisman

Boreham Wood have beaten off competition from a number of clubs to sign prolific striker Kabongo Tshimanga.

He joins from National League South side Oxford City after netting 37 times in all competitions last season.

Luke Garrard told the club's website it is the calibre of signing that should give everyone belief.

“Kabby is a player that really excited myself and the chairman and we both felt at this stage of his development that he really does need to play and not sit warming the bench at say an Football League club," he said about the 21-year-old.

"This is a signing of intent for our football club and along with some other great bits of business we’ve done, gives me good reason to look forward to the coming season."

Elsewhere, the Wood completed two additional deals.

Adam McDonnell joined from Aldershot while Piero Mingoia signed terms after leaving Accrington Stanley.
