Wings Move for New Keeper

Mark Goldberg, manager of Vanarama National League South club Welling United, has signed former Colchester United goalkeeper Chris Lewington.

Twenty-seven-year-old Lewington started as a youth at Charlton Athletic before playing for Erith & Belvedere and then Dulwich Hamlet, Beckenham Town, Fisher Athletic and Leatherhead.

He then joined Dagenham & Redbridge and made 127 League appearances before moving to Colchester in the summer of 2014.

He was released by the U`s in December 2015 and joined Margate, for whom he appeared twenty-three times in the National League South.
