Williams Is Ed-ing On Up After Earning Doncaster Deal

Ed Williams says he hopes to be the latest National League star to shine bright in the EFL.

The midfielder will be playing for League One Doncaster Rovers after a fantastic few years at Kidderminster Harriers.

The 25-year-old scored 15 goals in 50 appearances over two seasons at Aggborough.

Williams has earned a two-year deal after impressing on trial and he wants to add his name to the list of players who have enjoyed success after making the step up.

“I’m so happy to get it over the line, I’m buzzing,” he told Doncaster’s video player

“It’s been a long few years for me outside the EFL but I’m delighted to be back.

“There are so many good players at National League level, so many have stepped up to League One and beyond in the past - hopefully I can do the same.

“I have been with Doncaster for a few weeks and it’s been a great experience.

“There has been pressure on me to perform and to earn that contract but I have done enough and I can’t wait to try and prove myself.”
