The champagne has been on ice at Barnet for some time, but the corks could be popping on Saturday.
It could be a very different story at some other grounds, so let’s take a look at what’s ahead of us.
The title race
….. will be officially over if Barnet claim a point at home to Aldershot Town.
Dean Brennan’s side won’t even need that if York City fail to win at home to Solihull Moors.
The Bees would rather get the job done at home in front of their fans than at AFC Fylde on the final day!
The play-off chase
…. looks certain to go down to the wire!
Southend United are sitting under the dotted line but are in control of their own destiny. Two wins, starting with three points at home to Wealdstone in the enhanced DAZN game, will get them in.
That’s because they travel to in-reach Gateshead on the final day. Carl Magnay wants his team to show their teeth at Boston United after a forgettable Easter.
FC Halifax Town are in the top seven but are wobbling at the wrong time. One win in eight is a real concern for Chris Millington and it’s a huge moment in the Shaymen’s season at home to Braintree Town.
Rochdale will secure their play-off place with a home victory against Hartlepool United, who rocked the Heed last weekend.
Oldham too will be absolutely sure if they defeat Forest Green Rovers, who are already in.
Altrincham will likely need two victories to extend their season. There’s a lot riding on their trip to Dagenham & Redbridge.
The relegation fight…
… is getting tense!
Two spots that nobody wants, and four teams could take them. This weekend is critical.
It’s win or bust not for Maidenhead United, who will return to the National League South after eight years if they lose at Ebbsfleet United.
They’ll be down regardless if Wealdstone win at Southend and Boston get a point or more at home to Gateshead.
For Dagenham the situation isn’t quite as deadly with two more points on the board, but the Daggers need three points at home to Altrincham - and a big favour from their rivals Southend at home to the Stones.
Braintree will be mathematically safe if they win at Halifax, while Aldershot, at title hunting Barnet, need one more point to be totally sure of survival.
