What's Going On In The North And South This Weekend

March is here and that can only mean one thing - the margin for error is getting smaller and smaller

The latest batch of National League North and South action is winging its way here and with some warmer weather nearing, the heat is on the rise.

The Lambs of Tamworth have been grilling all season long, and now they’re on the last leg.

They may hold a ten point advantage but they haven’t won - or scored a goal - in three games. They need to put that right when Blyth Spartans visit this weekend.

If they don’t, Scunthorpe United will start to smell blood again. They’ve given themselves a little lift but next it’s a visit from Chester, who haven’t lost in nine matches and are fighting to secure a play-off place.

A lot of those going for the top seven boast home advantage on Saturday.

Boston United welcome Spennymoor Town, while Alfreton Town take on Gloucester City, who are bidding to stay in the division. Brackley Town host Farsley Celtic and there’s a huge meeting between two sides sitting just outside - Curzon Ashton vs Hereford.

Peterborough Sports are looking to secure a fourth win in a row at Southport while Darlington and Banbury United play each other with both teams inside the drop-zone.

There’s big National League South games coming up too and Worthing start life without manager Adam Hinshelwood with an away game at Dartford. Aarran Racine steps in on an interim basis.

Leaders Yeovil Town’s title quest takes them to Farnborough, who kept second place Chelmsford City in check on Tuesday days after the Clarets defeated the table toppers. Aveley are at Melbourne Park for an Essex derby.

Braintree Town have won seven in a row and have conceded just one goal in six. Rod Stringer took the Iron to title in 2011 and now they meet again as the in-form team head to his Welling United, who themselves haven’t lost in seven.

Slough Town have taken 13 points from a possible 15 and a visit from Bath City represents a chance to close the gap on the play-off places.

The six pointer between Truro City and Taunton Town takes place at Gloucester City this weekend.

Maidstone United’s epic FA Cup adventure came to an end at Coventry City on Monday but they’ve got so much to play for still. They go looking to boost their play-off hopes at Dover Athletic, who could be down in a matter of weeks.
