What's Ahead Later In The National League & FA Trophy

By Sam Elliott

There is National League North, National League South and FA Trophy action ahead with points and third round places to play for.

There are three games in the North and both could have a big impact on the table come 10pm.

Boston United and Brackley Town both have designs on promotion - and both are well placed.

Kevin Wilkin’s Saints climbed to third over the weekend and are now 11 games without defeat.

Boston Unite have only lost to leaders King’s Lynn Town in their last nine and have won six matches in that run. They’ve won five from seven at home so an exciting game in certain in prospect at York Street.

It’s sixth v seventh as Darlington head to Guiseley - the Quakers have won six of their last seven matches but the Lions have picked up at home in recent weeks.

Gateshead hope a win at Leamington means they could return to the play-off places but the Brakes showed on Saturday they are a match for the top sides after holding Chester.

Havant & Waterlooville know they need to get back on a winning run if they are going to challenge leaders Wealdstone.

Defeat to the Stones on Saturday leaves them 11 points behind. A trip to Dulwich Hamlet tonight is one of their three games in hand and manager Paul Doswell will demand a response.

Two FA Trophy ties remain so what clubs will get on Wembley way?

Barnet will be fresh against Farsley, who travel to the capital following three straight league defeats.

Maidenhead are desperate to avoid an upset, they host Southern Central high-flyers Halesowen.

National League North:
Boston United v Brackley Town
Guiseley v Darlington
Leamington v Gateshead

National League South:
Dulwich Hamlet v Havant & W

FA Trophy replays:

Barnet v Farsley
Maidenhead v Halesowen
