What Is Happening Across The National League Tomorrow

By Sam Elliott

It could be now or never for the sides looking to hunt down Barnet - and they need an unlikely favour this weekend.

As York City and Forest Green Rovers prepare to meet in a match neither contender can realistically afford to lose, they know by the time they kick off that things could already look ominous.

That’s because the leaders would have already played, and they’re on hosting duties again when they just do not lose home matches.

If the Bees beat Dagenham, they will be an incredible 12 points clear by the time the live DAZN game kicks off at 5.30pm.

The Daggers have plummeted and now have a battle on to remain in the division.

The Londoners haven’t won since New Year’s Day and it will be the upset of the season if they get their first victory in 11 against a side who have won their last five matches and go into this one on the back of a 5-0 victory over Yeovil Town.

The play-off picture

The race for a top seven spot in heating up but time is of the essence for those planning on pinching a place.

Altrincham hold the last place as it stands and Southend United want it as two contenders collide in a big game at Roots Hall.

Eastleigh have given themselves a fighting chance with four wins in six but they’ve got to keep the points coming having played more games than most around them. It’s Hartlepool United at the Silverlake this weekend.

Rochdale are six points shy but they have two games in hand. Jimmy McNulty’s team really need to win at home to Wealdstone.

Tamworth aren’t throwing in the towel and face an Oldham Athletic side winless in six. FC Halifax Town are inside the play-off places but they’re not comfortable. The pressure will ease if they take three points against Yeovil Town.

The relegation scrap

Boston United are playing well but can’t seem to haul themselves from 23rd position. Woking pay them a visit tomorrow.

It’s not often Maidenhead United are in the bottom four in March but they need to start a winning run. Sutton United are in Berkshire while Aldershot Town - still two points above the drop zone - welcome Gateshead.

New managers are doing a good job at AFC Fylde and Braintree Town and although both sit outside the danger-zone they know they’re far from safe.

Ebbsfleet United are all-but down and face Solihull Moors, who know they simply have to kick-start their season by ending their ten-game winless run at the ARMCO Arena.
