What Happened In The National League On Saturday?

By Sam Elliott

The leaders showed their ability to dig deep and respond on a great afternoon of National League action.

Barrow’s lead is back to eight points after overcoming in-form Dagenham 2-1.

Tom White turned in to give the pacesetters the lead but Alex Reid drew Daryl McMahon’s team level.

It was left to Patrick Brough to take all three points for Ian Evatt’s side as their impressive home form continues.

Yeovil ended their poor run by beating Wrexham 3-0.

Courtney Duffus put an end to his barren spell before Luke Wilkinson and Albi Skendi made it safe.

In-form sides Boreham Wood and Hartlepool played out a 1-1 draw - Pools’ Gimme Toure pinching a good point for Dave Challinor’s men as both goals arrived right at the start of each half.

Matt Jarvis scores on his Woking debut as the Cards boosted their promotion hopes - and added to Maidenhead’s worries.

The 2-0 win was confirmed by Jake Hyde late on.

Jamie Reid was back on the scoresheet as Torquay beat Chorley by the same scoreline.

Jimmy Shan made a quick impact at Solihull Moors. A slick 3-0 victory over Dover Athletic puts them back in the top seven. Defender Callum Howe was at the double.

Ebbsfleet’s recovery was halted by a 1-0 home defeat to Stockport - who keep their promotion hopes alive.

Bromley’s form will be a concern to Neil Smith. They went down 1-0 at home to Sutton United as Omar Bugiel hit the target.
