We’re All Set For A Thrilling Finale After Last Night

By Sam Elliott

The final day situation became a lot clearer after a tense Tuesday night across the divisions.

The battle to stay in the National League will go to the wire and Boreham Wood must beat Ebbsfleet United to survive on Saturday.

That’s because Luke Garrard’s team drew 0-0 at Rochdale - but three points at home to the Fleet could haul Danny Searle’s side under after their stalemate at FC Halifax Town.

But Woking, at home to AFC Fylde this weekend, are still very much in danger of the drop and have a big part to play in the relegation battle.

The Shaymen maintain a play-off place after the goalless draw and need one more victory to confirm a top seven place.

Wealdstone gone into the last day potentially still needing something. Chris Maguire’s cross-cum-shot in the 88th minute handed Eastleigh a 1-0 victory.

Bromley confirmed a top three place and will fight Bromley for the runners up spot after a 3-1 win at Oxford City. The goals came from Ben Krauhaus, Idris Odutayo and Corey Whiteley.

Torquay United are all-but safe in the National League South after a 2-1 win at relegation rivals Taunton Town.

Brett McGavin’s excellent goal was doubled up by Asa Hall to leave their hosts needing a huge few days to stay up.

Truro City confirmed their status with a 1-0 victory over Dover Athletic. Tyler Harvey’s goals make the White Tigers secure.

The final play-off spot is very much alive after Hampton & RB couldn’t get the job done - a 1-0 defeat at St Albans City gives hope to Aveley and Farnborough on the weekend’s final day.

Boston United will be in the National League North play-off places going into the final day - Dylan Hill’s first half goal enough to beat Banbury United.
