Wembley In Reach As FA Trophy Semi-Final Line-Up Confirmed

By Sam Elliott

The draw for the semi-finals of the FA Trophy has this afternoon been made with our teams just one tie from Wembley.

After Saturday’s scintillating quarters, we found out our final four - and for the first time in years, it’s an all National League line-up.

Gateshead will host Barnet next month after the draw, made on TalkSPORT2 by BT Sport pundit Adam Virgo.

In the second semi, Altrincham are at home to FC Halifax Town.

The matches will be one leg and with no extra time, the games will go straight to penalty kicks if needed.

The ties will take place on Saturday April 1, with the final set for Sunday May 21.

It will prove a welcome financial boost, too.

The semi-final winners receive £15,000 from the prize pot, with losers banking a £5,000 cheque.

Final winners earn £60,000 with the runners up getting £30,000.
