Watson: Job Done For Gateshead

Gateshead boss Steve Watson says his side getting through to the next round of the FA Cup is all that mattered.

A 2-0 win over Chelmsford City saw Gateshead progress to the second round of the competition, writes Tom Feaheny.

"It was all about getting into the next round, I wanted a bit more from it in aspects, but the main thing was getting the win," Watson said to the club's website.

"I felt some of the decisions were bad, but to go through with 2-0 and a clean sheet, is a positive but we know we have to do better.

"I am looking forward to the draw, a league club would test the lads, I know we'd give them a real good go, we'll see what Monday brings."

"We have a run of league games, where we hope we can climb the table."
