Unibet's Vanarama National League Matchday 3 Preview

By Sam Elliott

The second instalment of the Bank Holiday weekend double is about to swing into life - but which of the 100 per centers will remain undented?

Dagenham & Redbridge, Chesterfield, Boreham Wood and Maidenhead United all have two wins from two.

Grimsby Town and Altrincham may have only played once but they’re looking to double their money on Monday.

Every week, new betting partner Unibet will run the rule over the main matches in the two divisions.

All your odds across the Vanarama National League are available at Unibet.

Barnet v Dagenham & Redbridge

For those who were paying attention at the end of last season, the Daggers’ sharp start really shouldn’t be a surprise.

Daryl McMahon’s men saw out 2020-21 with eight wins from ten - and now it’s ten wins from 12 after seeing to Bromley on Saturday, and Stockport County on the opening day.

It’s been a difficult start on paper, but seven goals from those games means you really should not count out this Dagenham team in the promotion race.

Barnet also have a challenging start so after their mauling at home to Notts County, Harry Kewell was thrilled with a come-back point at Solihull Moors. The sides met back in May at the Hive and the London derby went the way of Dagenham.

One to watch: Matt Robinson (Dagenham)
Unibet tip: Daggers to leave with three points.

Wrexham v Notts County

The first really big clash of the season comes from the Racecourse Ground on Monday night. Popcorn at the ready!

You may just have heard, Wrexham have new Hollywood owners. They also have some League One level new players.

Two of the oldest clubs in the world really could put on a show for the BT Sport cameras.

Both have four points from their two games, and with both away from home Wrexham will probably be the happier.

A Jake Reeves winner earned Notts the points in this fixture back in May and their fans think they can repeat the trick three months on.

One to watch: Jake Hyde (Wrexham)
Unibet tip: Both teams to score in north Wales.

Weymouth v Maidenhead United

Still proving the doubters wrong, Maidenhead United have started in sensational style.

Under the stewardship of club legend Alan Devonshire, he has once again put out a team the fans can be proud of - and there’s no sign of a struggle for the part-timers.

After a plucky late win at FC Halifax Town, they were just too well-drilled for Dover Athletic on Saturday.

Weymouth need to rally after two defeats where they didn’t offer quite enough. Although unlucky not to leave Grimsby with something, they disappointed at home to Boreham Wood on the opening day.

Andrew Dallas’ winner last season gives the Terras a bit of belief.

Could the Magpies soar again or will Weymouth kick-start their season?

One to watch: Sam Barratt (Maidenhead United)
Unibet tip: Both sides to take a point
