Unibet's National League North And South Preview

By Sam Elliott

Hopefully it’s farewell to the freezing conditions because there’s a brilliant National League North and South programme ahead!

This weekend should see all the top teams return to action after what has been a stop-start first month of 2023.

But there’s eyes on the prize in both divisions as Unibet pick-out Saturday’s games to keep tabs on.

Worthing vs Dartford - National League South

Things have a habit of turning very quickly in the National League South as Dartford will tell you.

Just a few weeks ago Ebbsfleet’s implosion put them in control but now their rivals have found their form again, going three points clear, while the Darts didn’t turn up at home to Hemel.

But a fourth away win on the bounce may change the landscape again.

Worthing, now undefeated in five, are very much in the mix but know they need to win more at home. Will they put that right and dent the visitors’ title hopes at the same time?

Darlington vs Spennymoor Town - National League North

This all North East game has all the hallmarks of a belter - but there’s just one problem.

Title hunters Darlington just love life on the road and have won their last six on their travels.

Spennymoor are so good at home lately, and it’s had them looking at the top seven following a painfully slow start.

Issue is, it’s the Quakers who are the hosts on Saturday - and the Moors are making the trip to Blackwell Meadows!

Both teams would probably love the fixture to be flipped but it’s sure to be another blood-and-thunder contest.

Darlington, who on Thursday lost top scorer Mark Beck to Solihull Moors, are now four points off top thanks to AFC Fylde’s surge, the Coasters hosting Chester this weekend.

Spennymoor are five points behind the play-off pack but are second in the form guide and have claimed 13 points from a possible 15.

It’s going to be another really good weekend across the leagues!
