Unibet's National League North And South Preview

By Sam Elliott

Those not in FA Trophy action this weekend know they really need to make Saturday count.

The promotion and survival battles in the National League North and South may be slightly disrupted by some big cup ties going on.

But it’s going to be a case of taking full advantage for those lacking up their boots and Unibet have selected their games to keep an eye on.

King’s Lynn Town vs Peterborough Sports - National League North

Opportunity knocks for King’s Lynn Town this weekend.

With Darlington and Brackley Town not in league action, Tommy Widdrington’s team will return to the top for the first time in months - if they beat Peterborough Sports, that is.

Lynn are very good at home and go looking for their eighth National League North win at The Walks in a row.

But Peterborough Sport have won three of their last five on their travels and could move into the top seven if results go their way.

Eastbourne Borough vs Worthing - National League South

Both south coast clubs have the same ambition and see no reason why they can’t achieve it.

Some 50 miles separate Eastbourne and Worthing and there’s only four points between the two teams… but so is that dotted line!

The Sports sit just outside the play-off pack but just recently have wasted the chance to get themselves in there.

They’ve lost their last two matches but had previously served notice of what they’re about.

Eastbourne have beaten both title chasing Havant & Waterlooville and Ebbsfleet before their recent issues and now want to take down another promotion challenger.

Worthing fans have loved life in the National League South.

Sitting in fifth place, they’ve only lost once away from home - just one other team have a better record on the road.

They’re unbeaten in four going into the game and thrashed Havant 5-1 last month, a result which made everyone sit up and take notice.

It’s going to be another eye-catching weekend!
