Two New Trawlerboys

Vanarama National League North club Lowestoft Town have brought in a new defender and goalkeeper.

Youngster Harry Kyprianou has signed for the Trawlerboys on a month`s loan from Sky Bet League One side Southend United.

The 18-year-old came through the academy with Watford and at 16 appeared on the bench for the Hornets in an FA Cup tie against Bristol City.

He was on trial with Blues in September and did enough to join up with the under-21 squad.

Also joining Lowestoft is 24-year-old Latvian goalkeeper Elvijs Putnins.

Putnins started his career with Latvian side FK Auda Riga before being signed by Queens Park Rangers in 2008.

He didn`t make a first-team appearance for the R`s but did spend time out on loan with Hemel Hempstead Town and Boreham Wood, where he played forty times in two separate spells over two seasons.

He was released by QPR and joined Woking before signing for Maidenhead United in August 2013.
